Whether a viewer is a home body or a party animal, this season of “Shark Tank” on ABC appeals to both.

The premise of the hit TV show is that a table of wealthy business owners choose to invest or not in startup companies.

This season, Miami native Alashe Nelson is bravely swimming into the tank.

"I'm sitting with the sharks to receive $150,000 for 15 percent of my company," said Nelson.

He runs website called EZVIP.com.

"What Open Table does for restaurants, that's what we do for night life," said Nelson.

Users can can plug in their taste in music, the date they want to go out, and voila, VIP passes are at their fingertips.

"EZVIP is a platform for people to gain access to the best events in the world," said Nelson.

With the help of the sharks, he hopes to take his concept global. So will they take the bait, or not? Tune in Friday nights at 8 p.m. on Local 10.
